I became a qualified Transformational Coach in 2022, and for several years, I coached alongside demanding senior leadership roles. The impact I saw, the shift in how people thought, led, and carried themselves made it clear that this was the work I wanted to focus on fully.
Senior leaders in safety critical environments deal with pressures that most people never see. Regulatory demands, operational complexity, and the expectation that every decision will be the right one. I coach these leaders to think clearly, make stronger decisions, and stay calm when the pressure rises.
Before coaching, I spent more than 35 years in aviation and regulatory leadership. I’ve been a Managing Director, Accountable Manager, Operations Director, and Aviation Regulator.
I’ve led multi‑airport recovery programmes, strengthened safety and compliance systems, and supported governments and major airports through regulatory reform. These roles taught me what high pressure leadership really feels like; the responsibility, the scrutiny, and the weight of decisions that matter.
Today, I work with senior leaders in aviation, transport, energy, defence, and infrastructure sectors where clarity and judgement aren’t optional. My coaching blends transformational practice with the discipline and steadiness forged in decades of operational leadership.
I also take on selective aviation advisory work in regulatory compliance, operational performance, and change management. These projects keep me connected to the realities of safety critical industries and ensure my coaching stays grounded in what leaders are facing right now.
Over the years, I’ve learned something important:
Leaders don’t struggle because they’re not capable.
They struggle because pressure clouds clarity, weakens judgement, and narrows emotional bandwidth.
My role is not to teach, lecture, or sell.
It’s to be a thinking partner, someone who brings calm, clarity, and perspective when the stakes are high.
My coaching is built on three pillars:
• Clarity – Cutting through noise. Seeing what’s really going on. Regaining mental altitude.
• Judgement – Thinking clearly under pressure. Making decisions with confidence. Leading with intention, not urgency.
• Calm – Staying steady in uncertainty. Regulating emotion. Being the leader others rely on when it matters most.
These pillars guide every coaching partnership I build.
